Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, West Wildwood and North Wildwood all have different dispatching offices. You all have no idea how much delay this causes in dispatching for incidents involving multiple towns. To give you an idea, my township in Pennsylvania with 40,000 people shares county-level dispatch zones with two other townships that have over 15,000. The call volume, population and nature of incidents is significantly greater. The population is year-round, consisting of various age groups; half the staff of Wildwood, double the efficiency and half the cost.
