New Jersey needs to change its liquor license laws to allow anyone to obtain a liquor license free. Liquor licenses should not be a revenue generator for the state. Anyone who wants to open a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol should be able to do so without having to pay for a liquor license. Of course, existing bars hate that idea because they don't want competition. Let the free market force them to compete and lower drink prices. Liquor licenses also drive up alcohol prices. Without liquor licenses, beer and other drinks would be a lot cheaper.
