It is such a shame what has become popular opinion of our police force. Police were once thought of as friends of the community. Now, not so much. We need to retrain our forces to resolve problems and to be physically able to control a situation. Even "good" cops are loyal to "bad" cops. That makes them bad too. Our police should set an example as to what a law-abiding citizen looks like, not live above the law. Even in our little town, police have attitudes that the law does not apply to them. Communities need the police, but the police need to be part of the community too.
