Cape May County is the last county in New Jersey to implement central dispatch to better serve our police, firefighters and rescue personnel. It seems that the county freeholders have been discussing and approving studies with no action! Their last action a few months ago was to put the central dispatch in an 80-year-old building with serious mold issues. Why doesn't our first line of defense deserve a first class, new building like other progressive counties? It seems that the duplication of municipal dispatchers and wasting our money will continue.
