I am so saddened by the passing of Beau Biden. He was such a decent, honorable man and who knows what additional good could have come from his public service. Having suffered a tragic early death in my own immediate family, my heart goes out to his family for the very painful months and years ahead. Life will never be the same for them. Cancer robs so much and so many, and I wish some of the billions in foreign aid we give, sometimes foolishly, could instead be redirected to finding better treatment options and potential cures.
