Please help the turtles cross the road safely. They travel by instinct to lay their eggs. If you see one, pick it up and put it on the other side of the street in the direction they are headed. Unfortunately, Route 147 is a four lane highway with a solid, concrete barrier in the middle, and goes right through the wetlands where the turtles live. I am surprised that the NJDEP allowed this to happen. It is certain death for these turtles unless good people can safely stop and save them. Pay attention to the DOT signs alerting traffic.
