A spouter remarked about a paper reporting Wildwood crime; a shoot-out by McDonald's, fights on the Boardwalk, drunk teens and numerous drug arrests as a deterrent to potential visitors, in contrast to "family-friendly" Ocean City. He received a reply that seemed to imply that OC represses the reporting of crime to appear safer. That comment is incorrect. The fact that there is substantially more publicized crime in Wildwood is not a product manipulating the press, it is a simple fact that Wildwood has more crime. Ride the streets or walk the boards of both towns any Saturday night and see.
