To the squirrel guy, the cop saw you flapping around, much like the dying squirrel was flapping around. He made a wise decision to ignore you and the dying squirrel. He would never have been able to satisfy you and he would have only been the target of some other type of complaint from you. If you really wanted to help the squirrel, you should have simply compassionately dispatched it yourself. Like the other guy said, animals die in nature all the time, they don't need human rehabs. You are just as bad for the ecology as the people who over-fish or cut down rain forests. Leave nature alone.
