To the Wildwood spouter who thinks that "one armed citizen" could have prevented the Aurora movie theater massacre: Would that idea work if the citizen died in the hail of the gunman's bullets? Even if the citizen survived the onslaught, which scenario is preferable; the assailant opens fire and kills people before the armed citizen fires back, or no one dies because the deranged shooter didn't have a gun in the first place? Choosing the former is in total contradiction to Christian values. We're always supposed to ask, "What would Jesus do?" Which scenario would Jesus choose?
