I am upset with the street project being done on Neptune Ave. south from Pine Ave. to the firehouse. I was told that a grant required the street be raised to allow emergency equipment to get to the people in flood emergencies. I looked south on Neptune Ave. and the street appears lower than ever. The curbs and sidewalks are the same and they are getting ready to pave. I asked a worker if the road was raised. He said, "No, the crown is a slight bit higher." This is the lowest street on the island. Like a bath tub, when the town floods, all of the water will still drain to that spot.
