With the never-ending stories of how Wildwood is trying to improve the Wildwood downtown area, not once have I heard the idea of courting a large, well-known restaurant chain to anchor the downtown, something that will draw people to the area. I believe the town owns the property on Pacific Ave. where the Playpen/Cheers once stood. Instead of coming up with ideas like putting an ice skating rink there, wouldn't it make more sense to lease it to one of these companies for a 20 year/$1 a year contract and reap the tax revenue from it?
