Like many other liberals, the Avalon anti-gun spouter thinks that the way to stop the high profile mass shootings is gun control. He misses the fact that the key to ending all violence is through "people" control. Murder, even mass murder, did not begin with the invention of firearms. It is true that people who are mentally ill should not have guns, but we work so hard to protect the privacy of the mentally ill we forget about the rest of the world, and how do we address the hundreds of inner-city gun murders, committed with illegal guns, which get no press, but steal lives just the same?
