It is time to forget "respect your elders." So often do I read/hear that my generation, or the "young," are lazy, don't work or other insults. I work hard and study hard while you're generalizing a group of people based on age that I am a part of. Guess what? That is ageism. I don't call older people racist, homophobic or ageist because there is a big portion of them that are. So, some of you want to stereotype us as something bad while being stereotyped as "people who deserve respect from us;" forget it. I will continue to respect only the good elderly who respect the good young.
