In answer to a Town Bank spouter: I did already ship my children off to fight in the Middle East, the same way I fought in Southeast Asia, and my father and uncles in Europe, in the Pacific and in Korea. This is not just an Arab problem. The rise of modern radical Islam has world-reaching implications. Islam has had its eye set on a conquest of the West for about 1,000 years now. Fighting in the Middle East to protect our way of life is far smarter, in my opinion, than fighting the same battles here. War should be a last resort, but not avoided simply because of its horror, if it's necessary.
