The Herald ran an article describing the benefits of sharing services with Avalon and the two schools. The benefits are big. Read the article, then replace schools with police stations. A Seven Mile police force united in one cause, public safety. Along with it comes tax savings and productivity efficiency. Don't get stuck in the paradigm. The answer is staring us right in the face. We already share the judge, EMT, disaster relief, the CFO and dispatching. If we don't make the right choice, in 10 years we will have a $5 million police substation.
