Thank you for the offer of a cup of coffee and "friendly conversation." We have lived here most of our adult lives and we are very familiar with what "friendly conversation" in the borough really means. It's political and personal gossip. I also know if I, or most here, ever publicly voiced an opinion not in line with the mayor, what the ramifications would be. Our house would be plowed in with snow every storm, my cars would receive parking tickets, my kids would be stopped as "suspicious vehicles" in our own driveway, the town inspector would show up for an "anonymous complaint." No thanks.
