Instead of throwing all the drug users in jail as per some suggestions, the county should open a rehabilitation center, offering five day detoxes, as well as 30 and 90 day in-patient programs. It is very much needed in this county, as almost all of the rehab centers are over an hour away. Also, those rehabs up the road have a 20+ day wait list, which is an eternity for an addict, in which time they could end up in jail, which is the wrong place for an addict trying to get clean. Locking up drug users does nothing to help their addiction, while a stay in a rehab clinic can work wonders.
