Smaller pieces of land are worth preserving. The open space program needs to save whatever land it can rather than waste funds on historic preservation and recreation, which is just code for "pork" spending. The open space program should save up funds to buy smaller pieces of land or several larger pieces of land. Preventing new houses and buildings from being built on our last open spaces should be the county's top priority!
