There have been several spouts from persons who have applied for jobs both in public and private sectors who weren't hired. Some of these spouters are veterans. Some folks have replied that the spouters did not or cannot get jobs because they are not "connected." Certainly not wanting to be mean, but even people with good educations and veteran status may not meet the qualifications or have the desired characteristics to be hired for any given job in either public or private employment. In the real world, not everyone gets a trophy just for showing up. Not everyone qualifies for all jobs.
