A Swainton spouter and a few others who prefer gasoline taxes to tolls must be very lucky people who live near stores, schools, etc., who don't have to drive large vehicles for long distances for family and business reasons. We can't all live downtown and drive MINI Coopers, and most of us see tolls as a funding source that targets the people who actually use the toll roads, not the rest of us. Gasoline is too expensive as it is without more taxes.
