I would like to thank the good people of Cape May County for opening up their homes to the Coast Guard recruits on Thanksgiving Day. I know my daughter greatly appreciated the chance to celebrate the day as well as to get a few hours off base. We miss her sorely and it was wonderful to have a chance to talk with her. The kindness and generosity of strangers sharing this day with those who are serving this country, far from home and away from their loved ones, cannot be measured.
