I have never been treated so rudely as I was when a North Wildwood police officer stopped me for walking down the street at night. I didn't know it was a crime to run down to a convenience store for a pack of cigarettes and a cup of coffee after dark. Did it ever occur to you that someone driving by slowly and circling back when you are walking could seem suspicious to an innocent person? Apparently not.
