Say the developer is given the zoning variances he needs to build that hotel here. Is he going to give all the construction contracts to companies who hire American citizens, who badly need the jobs, or to the companies who hire all the illegal workers? Many developers will do and say anything to get their way and once they do, all promises are out the door. You do have control of who works on your job sites and who doesn't, so please don't use that excuse.
