Election results were just as Mitch McConnell predicted before the voting, with failure of Senate Republicans to reach the 60 number that Senate rules require for passage of important bills. This means continued gridlock there, especially on judicial appointments and any changes in various government programs, with the looming threat of an Obama veto.
