Some readers were quick to dismiss the spout about school athletes getting preferential treatment, but if we really think back to our own school days, most parents getting phone calls from school about misbehaving kids did not have kids playing sports. Those bad apples were handled by the coach, along with the vice principal. So, how is that fair?
