Every Halloween, pets escape and are lost when the doors open for trick-or-treaters. Be extra careful. Close your pets in a room away from the door for their safety. Chocolate can be deadly to animals. Place candy treats in cabinets not accessible to them. Do not leave pets out in the yard to become frightened by or to frighten visitors. Be sure your pet can be identified by license and or microchip. If you plan to dress your pet, do not leave s/he alone in costume. Parts of a costume can be choking hazards, as well as the costume itself. Also, no glow sticks.
