I drove down to attend the Mid-Atlantic Barbershop Harmony Society competition in Wildwood Oct. 24-25. It was our first, and all I can say is wow. I never expected the pageantry, outfits, harmony and stiff competition involved. My favorite song, 'If You Knew Suzie,' performed by the men in cowboy hats, brought tears to my eyes. This has to have been the best weekend in Wildwood this season. If more youth groups formed singing quartets in school, there would be less drugs and crime. Sports is not for everyone.
