There is grumbling about the Borough of Stone Harbor's decision to be open on Veterans Day. Those who are angered against the borough's decision, should stop and think twice. It is because of our veterans that the borough can operate and be open. Truth is, employees being given the day off would, no doubt, not spend it honoring or doing anything for veterans. It doesn't matter if the borough building is open or closed. Every work day is a day to honor and thank veterans, regardless of where you are. I encourage borough employees to attend the noon service and do just that. Thank a veteran.
