Sometimes Stone Harbor is a tough town to work in. At the borough council meeting Oct. 22, I was totally embarrassed. I didn't know the veterans were upset with our union for asking to switch the Veterans Day holiday with the Friday after Christmas. There were a number of us that were told to go to the meeting to support Councilwoman Kramer. It's not like we had a choice. Then to see the commander of the legion there and the comments by a councilman about the value of Veterans Day, it made me feel bad.
