I recently read that Strathmere residents who built on Strathmere Point are now looking for the township and state to protect their homes from the ocean. If Upper Township politicians were doing their jobs, no homes would have been allowed to be built there. Strathmere Point has been a moving target for the 60 years that I've been walking the beach. Pumping more sand in won't change that. Building a jetty to protect these homes that should not have been there in the first place is a flat out waste of my tax dollars.
