The cove beach area in Cape May is, without question, one of the prettiest spots on the Jersey shore. A word of caution to anyone wanting to venture into the water. Over the weekend, my son and I decided to body surf. We are both surfers and good watermen. The sand drops off rapidly and we were in three feet of water just steps off the beach. This was at high tide. While in the water, there were numerous, deep "potholes" on the bottom and the current moved rapidly to the point section of Cape May. Without lifeguards, just be careful this time of year.
