I was on the beach off Baker Ave. in Wildwood with my children late in Aug. and noticed a lifeguard totally dedicated to his craft, paying particular attention to the small children and ensuring they were not going out too deep. What struck me about this lifeguard was his age. He was not the typical 22-year-old, rather I would guess that he was in his mid-40's. I was so impressed by his work ethic that I mentioned it to a supervisor in a truck. I wish we had more lifeguards dedicated to their work like this one!
