Fireworks were announced every half hour by two local radio personalities all day Aug. 22, and suddenly at 10 p.m. the fireworks were cancelled? Why? There were no rain or weather issues whatsoever throughout the day. It is time the BID finds another provider. I respectfully disagree with the spouter who said they were the best fireworks ever; our family thought they were nothing special. The show is the same, and the Friday show has not changed since inception.
Moderator's Note: The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) released a cancellation notice on Twitter at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 22. The notice stated that the fireworks were postponed due to the chance of inclement weather.
