Finally, it seems people are beginning to realize that Cape May's resident parking program is poorly administered. It's also a very sweet deal for those who can get a permit. These parking permits allow people to rent prime real estate, a guaranteed parking space, for just $350 a year. Can you imagine being able to rent anything in Cape May for $350 a year? Actually, the permits are only supposed to run for six months, May through October, but the city doesn't remove the signs for the other six months and they refuse to have signs made that show the effective dates of the permits.
