Sea Isle City

When helping turtles to cross busy streets and return to the bay, we found that almost all of the properties along the bay are fenced off, making it very difficult for the turtles to return to the water. If homeowners were mindful of the needs of turtles, they could make sure that an opening along the bottom of their fencing, perhaps 12 inches wide by about 5 inches high was installed, at least once, along their properties. This would greatly help to prevent the turtles from having to search and wander along dry, traffic ridden streets for a way back to the water.
