I am appalled and upset over the amount of children and teens playing on the "temporary" dunes between 4th and 5th Aves. June 8th! Don't the parents understand the purpose of these dunes? Maybe they don't care? They come for their day on the beach and don't care if that beach is there next year, they'll just go somewhere else. I had to leave the beach when someone dug a hole in the dune so they could put their kid in and bury him/her. Can we educate these people on the importance of the dunes? Put up signs? Put fences around them?
