Regarding recent articles in newspapers down here at the shore about traffic accidents on Route 47: There needs to be more police presence. From South Dennisville all the way to Rio Grande, something needs to change. People seem to have repeated problems with tailgating, passing on double, yellow zones and excessive speeds. Middle PD can only do so much now that 47 has turned into a highway. Maybe we need a state police presence!
