Here we go again with all the bicycling families on the islands causing frequent near misses. The children follow their parents right through stop signs and red lights, making turns in front of moving vehicles without hand signals, parents on their cell phones or carrying coffee while pedaling with a baby on the back, using the incorrect side of the road and the bikes on sidewalks, which are for pedestrians. It's time for the municipalities/police departments to have free bicycle safety classes, even if only for the kids, who can then instruct their parents.
