Why was a police officer allowed to leave without disciplinary charges, even though he/she is still getting paid until October? He/She should be brought up on disciplinary charges and immediately placed on unpaid administrative leave pending its outcome and the outcome of the current investigation. Once again, the borough decides to allow someone to leave and receive a cash payout rather than pursue disciplinary action. This is a waste of taxpayer money and it undermines the disciplinary process which the borough has been entrusted to protect.
