If the ability to use one's wealth to purchase politicians is equivalent to free speech, then clearly millionaires and billionaires have more free speech than the rest of us. That's not democracy; it's a perversion of democracy. Those who believe otherwise, such as the five Supreme Court justices and the Koch brothers, are turning our democracy into an oligarchy/plutocracy. Our servicemen and servicewomen who fought and died for democracy would be more than disappointed, they would be appalled and disgusted.
