Congressman Paul Ryan, Romney's running mate, proposes a federal budget that would slash spending on medicare, medicaid, and other safety-net programs, and cut taxes for the wealthy. Ryan has learned nothing from George W. Bush's dismal record. Bush's/conservatives' trickle-down theory was a colossal failure, but Ryan wants to try it again. He is oblivious to history, which shows that cutting the wealthy a break has never worked. Let's have the wealthy pay no taxes. Sure, that will work.
