Time and again, I see marked police vehicles and officers in uniform going through drive-thrus, ordering food, pulling up to the pay window and just waving to the cashier, then receiving their free food. I wonder how they justify that when they find themselves in a position of enforcing the law to one of the employees who has committed a violation. What does an officer say when the person says, "I am the one who gives you free food?" Do you waive the ticket, like they waived your food charge?
