I find it shameful that Cape May County can approve $40 million to expand our present jail, but can't find $1 million to put into a rehab facility for those who would benefit far better. It would also put those with a drug or alcohol problem in the right place; not in jail! It would also make room for those that do belong in jail. If we address the problem, and not just the issue at hand, I believe the user, parent, family, and community, would be better served. From what I've seen, it's more about enforcing then serving!
