As a Russian-American, I must take issue with Bryon Cahill using the term "Ruskies" in his opinion column. Would your publisher use the word "kraut" describing Germans? This county has a number of Russian residents who read this paper. Please do not characterize Russia as a backwards, dog-murdering nation.
