To the former mayor who claims FEMA money is being wasted. He must be naive. It doesn't matter at all whether it's needed. It's not needed. But come election time, all the politicians, all the way up to the governor, can shout from the highest, unnecessary sand dune, "I brought home all this government-meaning taxpayer-money. Now, re-elect me to another term." It's bring home the money. We'll always find a way to spend it, no matter how foolish it is.
