Why is it that every time some government body decides to "save money," they cut the services to the working poor? My husband and I went to the LIHEAP office in Whitesboro in Oct., at which time we were told that the state closed down that location and we would have to send our application to Trenton. We did that. A month later, we received a letter; the Puerto Rican Action Committee (Woodbine) would be handling our application. We have been trying to reach them. They have irregular hours and it is hit or miss as to whether you will get to speak to someone. Re-open Whitesboro LIHEAP!
