All NJ beaches should be free. Beach towns get millions of state and federal tax dollars to replenish their beaches. The least these wealthy towns can do is let us go on the beaches for free. These towns can easily pay for lifeguards and beach cleaning out of their own municipal budgets. There is no need to rip off tourists further by requiring beach tags to go on the beaches they already paid for.
Moderator's Note: The municipalities do on occasion receive state and federal money for their beaches, but the ongoing expenses are born by the municipalities themselves.
