The Texas AG is suing a NY doctor for sending abortion pills to Texas. The lawsuit pits the laws of Texas, which bans abortion, against NY, where lawmakers have taken steps to shield doctors from out-of-state prosecution. Such laws exist in eight states so far. They will refuse to cooperate with attempts by other states to prosecute those who send pills across state lines. Legal experts expect Texas to eventually try to pursue its case in federal court, becoming a major test of whether states can enforce conflicting laws across state lines. I think they'll need a Fugitive Slave Act for women.
