The Jan 6 insurrection was a violent riot where Trump supporters attacked the capital, beat police defending it, and raided the capital to stop the electoral vote count. Besides now calling this riot a “love fest,” Trump is claiming the criminally convicted insurrectionists are “being treated like Japanese Americans during WWII” who were forcibly removed from their homes and incarcerated in isolated regions of the country. This is historically wrong. Those peaceful patriotic families sent many of their children off to serve in WWII, despite their racist treatment by feds! NOT THE SAME.
