It seems to me a major difference between America’s political parties are their approach to supporting our citizens. The Republicans seem to approach Social Security and Medicare as wanting to cut benefits to “save it” as they claim the spending is unsustainable. By contrasts the Democrats want to expand these safety net programs by increasing benefits and trying to find funding sources.
